Scope and ContentJohn Bradstreet (1714-1774) is granted the commission of captain in William Pepperrell’s 51st Regiment of Foot for his excellent and loyal service. Born in Nova Scotia, Bradstreet distinguished himself during the War of Austrian Succession  (1740-1748) and the Seven Years’ War (1754-1763).

Signatures and inscriptions: signed “George R.” and countersigned “Robinson.”



Physical description: vellum paper; red wax seal covered with cardboard; blue cardboard, glued and embossed.
