Scope and ContentLouis XV confirms the appointment of Louis-Joseph Marchand de Lignery (1695-1734) as an ensign on the active list in the colonial regular troops in Canada. The second part of the document is the registration received on October 10, 1735 at the Bureau du Conseil de la Marine in New France, in Quebec City, by the intendant Gilles Hocquart (1694-1784). The third part is the registration made in Quebec City on October 10, 1735 by Hocquart, countersigned by Monsignor de Valmire.NotesSource of title: based on the nature of the document.
