Scope and ContentAppointment by the British Queen Victoria (1819-1901) of John Dixon to the rank of warrant officer, in recognition of his loyalty, courage and good conduct. NotesSource of title: based on the nature of the document.
Statement of responsibility: drawn up by Her Majesty’s principal secretary of state (the signature is illegible) and registered by Edward Lugand.
Signatures and inscriptions: stamped “London 20-3-67”; a second piece of royal blue embossed cardboard bears the price “Pound ten shillings.”
Physical description: thick paper with crosswise grain; red wax seal covered with pale blue cardboard.
Physical condition: the cardboard covering the seal is very damaged.
Language of the document: the document is in English.
