Scope and ContentFrançois Joseph d'Estienne de Chaussegros de Léry (1754-1824), commandant en chef du génie de l'armée de Mayence sous la Première République, promeut le capitaine de génie de la ville de Mayence, le citoyen Allent, au poste de sous-chef d'état-major du génie.

Né à Québec, Chaussegros de Léry est issu d'une longue lignée de la noblesse militaire de la Nouvelle-France.
