Scope and ContentEn 1845, le Parlement du Canada-Uni met sur pied une commission afin d'étudier les nombreuses réclamations des habitants qui souhaitent être dédommagés des violences subies lors des rébellions. Dans le cadre de leur mandat, les commissaires doivent départager les réclamations provenant des rebelles et de ceux qui n’étaient pas leurs complices. Le présent document est l'appendice du rapport de la commission concernant la province du Bas-Canada. On y trouve le nom des réclamants, leurs demandes ainsi que le nom des patriotes. Les tories (conservateurs) sont hostiles à ces demandes qui selon eux, récompensent les rebelles. Cela mènera à l'incendie du Parlement du Canada-Uni, situé dans le marché Sainte-Anne de Montréal, déclenché par les émeutiers anti-unionistes le 25 avril 1849.
