Scope and ContentLetter of recommendation from Colonel Edward concerning Thomas Talbot (1771-1853), a captain in the British infantry in Canada. Thomas Talbot was an influential aristocrat, descended from a noble Anglo-Irish family, who played an important role in the colonization of Upper Canada in the early 19th century.
