Scope and ContentFinal discharge granted to the soldier Vincent Trippet, called l’Espérance, of the Dauphin regiment, by his battalion commander Cligny. The latter notes that the discharge has been ordered by Colonel Nicolas Chalon du Blé, Marquis of Huxelles (1652-1730), who considers Trippet to have “serious problems with his legs,” making him, after 11 years in the regiment, “no longer able to serve.”
