Scope and ContentRené-Amable Boucher de Boucherville (1735-1812) est un ancien officier des troupes de la Marine qui a servi en Nouvelle-France durant la guerre de Sept Ans (1754-1763). En 1767, il hérite du quart de la seigneurie de Boucherville. Il sert aux côtés de l'armée britannique lors de l'invasion de la province de Québec par les troupes américaines durant la guerre de l’Indépendance des États-Unis (1775-1783). En 1782, il achète pour une large somme les droits successoraux de ses frères et soeurs. Trois ans plus tard, il est nommé grand voyer du district de Montréal et il en profitera pour ordonner de nombreux chantiers afin d'améliorer l'infrastructure routière de sa seigneurie entre 1786 et 1798. Le présent document est un procès-verbal des échanges entre Boucher de Boucherville et certains habitants qui s'opposent aux nouveaux tracés des routes.
