Scope and ContentGabriel Christie (1722-1799) et Hazen Moses (1733-1803) ont tous deux servi l'Angleterre en Amérique pendant la guerre de Sept Ans (1754-1763). Le premier a été officier dans le 48th Regiment of Foot et le second s’est distingué dans la compagnie des Rogers' Rangers de Robert Rogers. Après la guerre, Christie et Moses acquièrent conjointement les seigneuries de Sabrevois et de Fleury sur la rive est de la rivière Richelieu. Si Christie a fourni la majorité des fonds pour acquérir ces terres, Moses est celui qui travaille à les développer et à les rentabiliser. Face aux problèmes récurrents auxquels sont confrontés les deux hommes dans la gestion de leurs seigneuries, Christie demande en 1770 la séparation de leurs biens. Le document est un état de compte de biens de consommation à départager.
