Scope and ContentLetter from King Charles II (1630-1685) to the lord chancellor Heneage Finch, asking him to affix the Great Seal of England to the document officially appointing Sir Leoline Jenkins as the country’s ambassador in the discussions leading up to the Treaty of Nijmegen between France, the Dutch Republic, Spain and the Empire, which put an end to the Franco-Dutch War (1672-1678).
