Scope and ContentScrapbook containing personal contributions from prisoners condemned to death for having taken part in the rebellions of 1837-1838 and held in the Montreal prison, obtained from them by Adèle Lafontaine when she visited them during their incarceration. It contains sketches, press cuttings and handwritten excerpts from well-known texts. Some of the cuttings and images relating to the authors evidently post-date the period.
