Fonds
Samuel Southby Bridge was a Montreal auctioneer. He and his partner Turton Penn were active in business in the early 19th century.
Scope and Content
The fonds consists of two journals kept by Bridge during voyages from London to Québec City and on to Montréal, the purpose of which was to explore possibilities for business. The first journal is dated 14 April to 11 November 1805. The second is dated 11 May 1809 to 18 August 1811 and was written while Bridge travelled to Montréal and began his partnership with Turton Penn.
