Scope and ContentJeffery Amherst, 1st Baron Amherst (1717-1797), governor general and commander-in-chief of the British forces in North America, nominal governor of Canada, writes during the Seven Years’ War (1754-1763) to John Bradstreet (1714-1774), deputy quartermaster general at Albany, informing him that two companies have left for Albany.
