Scope and ContentIn the summer of 1755 England was seriously concerned about France’s intentions. Sir Thomas Robinson, the king’s principal secretary of state for the Southern Department, warns the government of New England and the Company of Rhode Island to exercise extreme caution in their shipping and trading activities.
