Scope and ContentThe son of the former king of England James II (1633-1701), James Francis Edward Stuart (1688-1766), thanks his cousin Cardinal Alessandro Albani (1692-1779) for the good wishes he sent in a letter received during the holy holidays and also for his unfailing support. From 1717 until his death James Francis lived in Italy, after several failed attempts to accede to the throne. NotesSource of title: based on the nature of the document.
