Scope and ContentMarriage contract between Charles-André de Maillé, Marquis of La Tour-Landry, seigneur of Gillebourg, infantry colonel, and Suzette-Antoine de Rancurel-de-Saint-Martin. The document includes the agreements reached between the two parties (community of property, contract, provisions, exemptions and special clauses) and a list of the dignitaries present, along with the signatures of the most important. Among these were members of the French royal family, including Louis XIV (1638-1715), Louis, Dauphin of France (1661-1711), and Louis, Duke of Burgundy (1682-1712). Around a hundred of France’s highest-ranking aristocrats attended the wedding.NotesSource of title: based on the nature of the document.
