InscriptionsOn drum, written in ink: "We the Indians of Mistawasis Reserve send this drum to the Indian Commissioners. It has been used in heathen rites and dances and is the last relic of heathen observances possessed by any of our band. We send it on token that at the request of our Indian Agent such practices have ceased among us". Signed by William Badger, Chief and 9 headmen.
