Scope and ContentExact copy of the document granting a seigneury to François Jarret de Verchères (1632-1700), formerly an ensign in the Carignan-Salières regiment, drawn up on October 29, 1672. On May 4, 1699 Verchères filed his land grant at the office of Antoine Adhémar de Saint-Martin (1639-1714), royal notary for the island of Montreal, before witnesses.
