MORDAN & CO.'S / REGISTERED INKSTAND / AND /COPYING PRESS / DIRECTIONS FOR OBTAINING A COPY / Dip the Brush in a little cold water and slightly moisten a leaf /of the Copying Book. / Place the writing on the surface of the moistened Leaf -- on / the writing lay a Leaf of Oiled Paper -- and another piece of Oiled / Paper under the damped Leaf -- the Book must now be closed -- /placed in the drawer; and, after shutting the drawer, a very / slight pressure with the screw will produce an excellent Copy. / It is essential that properly prepared Copying Ink should be used.
