Scope and ContentThis sub-sub-series relates to the military management of the Kingdom of France between 1595 and 1792, in particular the military regulations in force in France and the colonies regarding regimental leave and travel, and the provision of supplies to troops. It focuses in particular on the battles being fought in Europe and the administration of material and human resources in the Kingdom’s armed conflicts. It also illustrates the system for acknowledging and rewarding officers through payment orders, letters of appointment and pension certificates.
