NotesThe design and production of the 1976 Montreal Summer Olympic Games’ uniform program relied on local talent. Established local designers Leo Chevalier, Marielle Fleury, Michel Robichaud and John Warden were hired by the Olympic Organizing Committee to design the ensembles with milliner Anita Pineault creating hats. A variety of Montreal garment manufacturers including Sport Togs and Lobel Shirts oversaw the production of the approximately 20 000 uniforms worn by hosts and hostesses, officials and other support personnel for the Games.  Adidas Canada Ltd. , subsidiary of the German athletic brand, was a major financial sponsor of the project, and this pair of Adidas sneakers was part of the official Olympic host uniform.
