Scope and ContentLetter from Maria Clementina Sobieska (1702-1735), the wife of James Francis Edward Stuart (1688-1766), son of the former king of England James II (1633-1701), to Catherine Sheldon, the wife of Arthur Dillon (1670-1733). She speaks of her son and of the devotion she owes her family, who had been living in Italy since 1717 under the protection of their allies.
