Scope and ContentHandwritten copy of a table recording all the soldiers and officers from several divisions and regiments of the British army who were reported killed, missing or wounded  following the decisive Battle of Yorktown Yorktown (September 28-October 19, 1781), during the American War of Independence (1775-1783). The breakdown by rank and division is followed by a list of the officers affected. The document is signed by the assistant adjutant-general John Despard (1745-1829).
