Scope and ContentTable recording all the soldiers and officers under the command of Lieutenant-General Charles Cornwallis, 1st Marquess Cornwallis (1738-1805), who were reported killed, missing or wounded following the confrontation of July 6, 1781 that preceded the decisive Battle of Yorktown (September 28-October 19, 1781), during the American War of Independence (1775-1783).
