Scope and ContentMuster roll for the company of Captain Dirk Hansen, serving in the battalion of Colonel James Livingston (1747-1832) during the American War of Independence (1775-1783). Among other things, Livingston would command the 1st Canadian Regiment, recruited partially in Quebec, where he was living at the outbreak of the war, as well as taking an active part in the 1775 invasion of Canada by the United States’ Continental Army.NotesSource of title: based on the title of the document.
