Scope and ContentPage from a newspaper,  apparently published in Haverhill, Massachusetts, on April 4, 1812, that includes the news that the United States government’s foreign affairs committee would be presenting a planned embargo to the House of Representatives. This event brought the United States and the United Kingdom one step closer to the War of 1812 (1812-1815), which would be declared some two months later.

Physical description: the document has been mounted on canvas and bound in a cardboard cover; dimensions of one of the pages: 30.1 cm (w) x 49.8 cm (h) x 0.1 cm (d).
