Scope and ContentLetter addressed to an unknown recipient concerning William Christopher Macdonald (1831-1917), who had failed to pass on a sum given to him to cover a debt concerning Mr. Ryland, author of the letter. Macdonald was the founder of the Macdonald Tobacco Company, in Montreal, and a major philanthropist.
