Scope and ContentRobert Monckton (1726-1782), colonel du 2e bataillon du Royal American Regiment (60e d'infanterie) lors du siège de Québec à l'été 1759, est désigné commandant en chef de l'armée britannique après la mort, le 13 septembre 1759, du précédent commandant James Wolfe. Le docteur Elihu Tudor (1733-1826) fut le chirurgien personnel de Wolfe. La lettre est la nomination de Tudor au poste d’aide-chirurgien (Surgeon's Mate) pour le 43rd Regiment of Foot en garnison à Québec.NotesSource du titre : Basé sur la nature du document.
