Scope and ContentAct issued during the third session of the eleventh Parliament of Great Britain, in the reign of George II (1683-1760). The document describes measures aimed at granting commissions in the British army to Protestants who had served abroad as officers or engineers. The act was issued as hostilities with France broke out at the start of the Seven Years’ War (1754 -1763)
