Scope and ContentCertificate awarded by the governing council to Denis Glaux, infantryman in France’s 71st infantry regiment, bearing witness to his good conduct and loyalty. The document includes personal information about Mr. Glaux and a physical description, as well as noting his civil status. The names of those who recommended awarding the certificate to Mr. Glaux are mentioned, along with their military rank (captain and battalion commander).

Signatures and inscriptions: the document is signed by the members of the governing council and approved by the brigadier-general; the twelve signatures are illegible, but the document bears the inscriptions “intendance militaire” and “régiment d’infanterie,” together with stamps composed of an eagle supporting a crown.
