Scope and ContentIn this letter Étienne Macdonald informs the Count of Vaublanc that he is sending four enclosed documents (missing), including a letter from Charles, Count of Autichamp, and a report from the Count of Faucher, deputy military quartermaster. Étienne Macdonald, 1st Duke of Taranto (1765-1840), was a lieutenant-general during the French Revolution, marshal of the empire during the First Empire, and duke and peer of France during the Second Restoration. Vincent-Marie Viénot de Vaublanc, called the Count of Vaublanc, (1756-1845), was a state minister and member of the privy council during the Second Restoration.NotesSource of title: based on the nature of the document.
