Identification card
This official document was created by the German army administration to identify prisoners of war as they entered permanent camps. The personal information card is an example of how prisoners were meticulously managed and organized. The description of Maurice Baribeau is very detailed, enumerating all his physical features: height, weight, shape of face and skull, hair and even his teeth. In addition, there is a photo of him and his fingerprint. His military identification is also very complete: rank, serial number, location where captured and previous camp locations. The card also includes the name of the camp and Maurice Baribeau's prisoner number.
