This sub-subseries chronicles the activities of amateur scientist John Samuel McCord, his special interest in botany and meteorology, as well as his relationships with members of the British scientific community.

It contains notebooks with weather and botanical observations and notes (from McCord's direct observations and other sources), weather records and reports, scientific publications and correspondence.
