Scope and ContentThis sub-sub-series relates to the ecclesiastical administration of New France between 1666 and 1724. It focuses on the role played by the clergy, in particular the Jesuits and the Sulpicians during colonization, and the lands granted as a result. It also includes a papal bull issued in 1733 by Pope Clement XII, accepting the resignation of Monsignor de Mornay, Bishop of Quebec.NotesSource of title proper: supplied title proper based on the content of the documents.
