Scope and ContentThis sub-sub-series relates to military life during the First French Republic, the Empire and the subsequent regimes up to 1860. It focuses in particular on the publication of military information bulletins and the correspondence between Marshal Macdonald and Count de Montblanc. It also illustrates the system for acknowledging and rewarding officers through letters of appointment and pension certificates.
