Scope and ContentThis sub-sub-series relates to the economic management of the Kingdom of France under Louis XIV and Louis XV, and during the Regency established between the two reigns. It focuses on the regulations in force during this period in France and in the colonies regarding trade, games of chance and the exportation of livestock, and illustrates in particular the administrative management of activities related to the tobacco trade and the Compagnie des Indes as reflected in, among other things, laws, rulings, inventories and commercial instruments.
