Sir William Pitt

John Wilson McConnell ranked among Canada’s wealthiest businessmen, and most generous philanthropists. His costume appears to be the best that could be had at the time. He made very good use of it, however, wearing it on occasions from 1924 through to 1955, the year of his 50th wedding anniversary, when he finally had his photograph taken in it. In that portrait, an embroidered cape obscures much of the outfit, however.
