The Baronne de Beaumouchel,
French Viceroys and Governors set

Maud Terroux stood out in a dress from the 18th century. Guests in possession of wearable family heirlooms welcomed an opportunity to draw attention to both their treasures and their pedigree. The dress came down from one of her ancestors, a Montreal merchant’s daughter who had married the son of a titled French military aristocrat in the 1780s. It was considerably altered from its original form to correspond to the fashionable silhouette of Maud’s own time.
