NotesThese colourful acrylic bracelets were created by AcryloGraphics Ltd. as part of the official hostesses uniform for the 1976 Montreal Summer Olympic Games. AcryloGraphics was the Montreal-based design firm of Joseph Kissoczy, Gunter Lutgendorf and Georgine Strathy, known for the imaginative and innovative advertisements she illustrated in collaboration with artists Jack Parker and Eugenie Groh for Eaton’s department store. These hand cut and polished bracelets were originally intended to be fashionable Olympic souvenirs but were deemed too expensive. Successfully incorporated into the hostess uniform developed by the Olympic Organizing Committee, the bracelets were unveiled as part of a presentation of all official uniforms at Tthe Ritz-Carleton Hotel in Montreal on October 1, 1975.
