Scope and ContentLetter from Thomas Desbrisay (1732?-1819), lieutenant governor of St. John’s Island, addressed to William Wildman Shute Barrington, 2nd Viscount Barrington (1717-1793), secretary at war of England, in which Desbrisay offers to mount a 500-man battalion at his own expense, in North America or Europe.
