Scope and ContentPublished in the December 1760 issue of London Magazine, this martial song commemorates the surrender of Montreal on September 8, 1760 , which sealed Canada’s military fate. New France would be ceded to Great Britain in 1763 under the Treaty of Paris.NotesSource of title: based on the title of the document.
