Scope and ContentPublished in the December 1760 issue of London Magazine, this martial song commemorates the surrender of Montreal on September 8, 1760 , which sealed Canada’s military fate. New France would be ceded to Great Britain in 1763 under the Treaty of Paris.

General notes: the document was included in the exhibition on the Seven Years’ War held at the Musée de la civilisation (2010) and presented to the Prince of Wales; transcription available.
