Scope and ContentModified, incomplete and undated handwritten transcription by an unknown author of part of the first volume on the subject of “Art militaire” from the Encyclopédie méthodique published in 1784.
The Encyclopédie méthodique aimed to be a revised and improved version of the Encyclopédie ou Dictionnaire raisonné des sciences, des arts et des métiers edited by Diderot (1713-784) and d’Alembert (1717-1783). Published between 1782 and 1832, it was divided into subjects presented in 40 scientific dictionaries composed of 206 volumes, written by several hundred authors.

Physical description: 20 pages; large folio sheets held together in the middle by a cord; unnumbered.
