Scope and ContentThis sub-sub-series focuses on the private lives of Canadian members of the armed forces and civilians as reflected in letters, diaries and albums. Among other things, it includes a private letter from Ignace-Michel-Louis-Antoine d’Irumberry de Salaberry to his son and throws light on Elizabeth Posthuma Gwillim Simcoe’s travels in Upper Canada between 1791 and 1796, in part through landscape sketchbooks executed during this period. This sub-sub-series also includes an album belonging to Ludger Duvernay that consists principally of press cuttings concerning the Rebellions of 1837-1838. NotesSource of title proper: supplied title proper based on the content of the documents.
