The Western Canada Pavilion dressed its 16 hostesses in one of the most brightly coloured uniforms on the site, a sleeveless dress and jacket with matching coat. The Jacob Crowley Company of Manitoba won the design competition launched by that province’s garment industry association. John Crowley was one of its two partners.
