Scope and Content

Letter book from 10 Dec 1836 to 11 Feb 1840, business and personal. Includes references to the Montreal General Hospital, Ottawa & Rideau Forwarding Co., and the Bank of Montreal. The back pages detail household expenses for the years 1849 and 1850. Includes expenditures on farm, servants’ wages and “recapitalization of expenses for 1849”.
