InscriptionsA pencil note on the back says that this sketch is from a watercolour drawing about the same size by Edmund Scott which was engraved by Charles Knight (1743-1826). The note suggests that this sketch is the one used for the engraving. The original portrait went to the Montreal Museum. It is stated that the information comes from Mr. Braun, a well known print dealer.
