Scope and Content

This dance card collection is made up of cardboard cards that were handed out to women at social evenings or society events so that they would know the dances and could write down the names of their dance partners. Most of the dance cards have a pencil attached to them by a string. The names of dance partners have been written in most of them, too.

The collection is divided into the following series:

C288/D 1920-1924;
C288/E 1925-1930;
C288/F 1931-1996;
C288/G Unidentified Cards;
C288/H Other Documents.
