Hattie Atwater as “Fanciful Fans”
Note the many folding fans that cover Hattie’s dress and even her cap! William  Notman had already fitted out his studio a few years earlier with his artificial skating rink, which he advertised as an appropriate background for a portrait in fancy dress.
